A workshop programme for higher education educators on preparing students for the future through enterprise and entrepreneurship education

Representatives from Newcastle University will be delivering a programme of three half-day workshops which will explore how to effectively embed enterprise and entrepreneurship education in different disciplines and also develop extra-curricular activities.

This initiative is carried out as a part of country activities organised by the British Council under the auspices of the Creative Spark programme.

  • Dates: Wednesday 14, Thursday 15, Friday 16 December 2022
  • Time: 14.00–18.00
  • Venue: Baku Higher Oil School

The programme is suitable for higher education educators with existing experience in enterprise and entrepreneurship education, and those who are new or have limited experience.

The workshops will address various approaches and strategies to:

  • engage students in enterprise and entrepreneurship education
  • develop existing programmes to incorporate good practice in enterprise and entrepreneurship education
  • deploy entrepreneurial teaching and learning methods (including co-creation with different stakeholder groups in specific sectors e.g., the cultural and creative sectors).

The workshops will be interactive and will require participants to complete a variety of tasks and present the outcomes. The programme will support both personal and professional development, and enable educators to develop their practice to improve graduate outcomes for students.

As places are limited, please complete the online application form by Sunday 4 December 2022.
