The British Council is delighted to announce that the Scottish music band Peatbog Faeries will perform in Baku on 19 September 2015. The event is organised by the British Council and the British Embassy in Azerbaijan in partnership with the Delegation of the European Union to Azerbaijan within the EuroVillage Festival 2015. 

Hailing from the Isle of Skye, the Peatbog Faeries are the trailblazers of the Celtic Dance Music renaissance. Drawing upon a myriad of influences from traditional jigs and reels through jazz, hip hop, reggae and more, they take traditional Scottish music and bring it fresh-faced and breathless into the 21st century. Their inventive and unique approach always brings to their audience a true flavour of traditional Scottish music whilst offering a high octane experience.

Peatbog Faeries have toured the world taking their inventive and unique brand of music and light show to audiences around the world, from European Festivals, to Asia, Africa, America, Canada and Australia, and this time they make their way to Baku to fill the floor and delight the crowd. Band members are Peter Morrison (pipes and whistles), Ross Couper (fiddle), Tom Salter (guitar), Innes Hutton (bass, percussion) Graeme Stafford (keyboards) and Stuart Haikney (drums).

The concert starts at 19.00 in Icherisheher within Eurovillage festival organised by the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan.
