Graduate Employability Project was initiated by British Council Azerbaijan under its Internationalization of Higher Education (IHE) programme and implemented since 2014.
The UK Study Tour on Graduate Employability is another stage in implementing the project and it is planned for June 2016.
UK Study Tour on Graduate Employability
UK Study Tour on Graduate Employability is to give an opportunity to higher education and business sector representatives from Azerbaijan to learn from UK higher education institutions experience in graduate employability in order to foster development of graduate employability in Azerbaijan.
In order to see the successful examples of UK university-business partnerships and learn from good practice in UK universities’ graduate employability schemes, the representatives of Azerbaijan universities, business institutions and MoE will visit the UK in May-June 2016.
The delegation will be comprised of representatives of business companies, career centre advisors (or related representatives) of higher education institutions and higher education department representatives of the ministry.
UK Universities
British Council Azerbaijan is looking for UK partners from higher education sector to host visitors from Azerbaijan and to arrange a Study Tour on Graduate Employability.
The hosting UK institutions are expected to share the draft programme offer (including experience share on principles of student employability, successful partnerships models and examples, site visits (partner business/industry institutions) and meetings with staff members of related departments for discussion and knowledge exchange.

Azerbaijan Universities
Azerbaijan universities and business institutions are invited to develop joint proposals on partnership in the area of graduate employability and submit to Nigar Nasrullayeva, Education Officer, British Council Azerbaijan no later than 25 April 2016.
Proposal needs to be developed based on the application form provided below.
Proposals need to be developed and completed by one representative from either side (university and business/or industry) and provide information about joint partnership interests; planned activities, timeline and expected outcomes.
Selected representatives will have a chance to visit UK for a Study Tour on Graduate Employability.
Funding
British Council Azerbaijan is responsible for organizing the study tour and will cover the expenses of the selected university representatives.
The project will cover expenses of only one selected participant from each University.
Representatives of business institutions are expected to cover their travel and accommodation expenses.

Note: Representatives of Khazar University and Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (one representative from each university) have already been selected (November, 2015) during the first call of the programme. Therefore, applications from these universities would not be considered.
