British Council in partnership with Khazar University will host a special conference dedicated to William Shakespeare on 22 April 2016.
The conference’s theme is Shakespeare in the World.
The conference marks the history and geography of Shakespeare in the world, looking at the reach and lasting inspiration of Shakespeare’s work, to mark the 400th anniversary of his death in 2016.
Conference speakers will include academics and researchers from the UK, Azerbaijan and Georgia; in addition to the academic presentations, the conference activities will include students presentations, film screening and dramatic interludes.
The conference will be held at Khazar University (Marble hall) on Friday 22 April, the day before Shakespeare’s anniversary. Attendance is open to all.
