All of our passionate and dedicated teachers meet the highest international standards with formal qualifications and extensive experience in teaching academic English and preparing students for exams such as IELTS.

Our minimum requirements for teachers are:

  • Education to degree level or equivalent qualification
  • A certificate level qualification in teaching English as a foreign language such as Cambridge University CELTA or Trinity College London CertTESOL
  • At least two years’ teaching experience
  • High proficiency in the use of the English language

Lynne Cameron-Day

Lynne has been teaching English since 2001 and joined the British Council in 2014. She holds a BA Hons in French and an MSc in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).  She has worked in a wide variety of countries including Taiwan, China, Japan, Mexico, Iraq and the UK.  Her speciality is in IELTS preparation, Academic Writing and Pre-sessional support.

Carl Cameron-Day

Carl has been teaching English since 2008. He holds an undergraduate degree in Linguistics and English Teaching, a CELTA and DELTA and is currently studying for his Masters in ELT. Originally from Reading in South East England, he has taught in numerous countries including Iraq, Japan, Kazakhstan and Sri Lanka.
